Can some one give me the specs needed for the trailer of a C22 Fixed Keel? Also, any pictures of a trailer and launchng tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Aaron

Fin Keel or Wing Keel?

There's a couple inches difference between the two so one would need to know which one you're interested in.

Rope Launch

Sorry, I don't have a picture but the next time I am out at the marina I will take one. I do a rope launch. Back the trailer to the water. Chock the wheels. Unhitch and pull the tow vehicle up about 10 feet. Tie a 1" rope (or cable) to the front of the trailer and the other end to the hitch. Pull forward until rope is taut (I use a 70' rope). Remove the chocks. Back up. The trailer will go out into the water and you can have a buddy help steer it straight using the rope. The trailer will almost disappear and the boat will float off. Then pull forward till the trailer is out of the water, chock the wheels, back up and hitch up and pull away. It sounds harder than it is. Takes 10 minutes. It helps if the trailer has tall "guides" that stick up from the wheel fenders so that when you retrieve you can bring the boat in straight. I also have wooden panels that guide the keel to the center of the trailer when retrieving.
