Is anyone still using the masthead cage over the front halyards, after changing their halyards from wire/rope to Dyneema?

I;ll have pictures of my arrangement after 29th (haulout) cage is there, as is 10mm halyard. No jamming issues

Are you routing your halyards thru the cage? Did you have jamming issues with halyards as the were pulled down between the outer cage rails and the forestay clevis pin?

yes through the cage, no issues with jib or spin halyards.

What size are your halyards??

I am using 13/32 (10mm) Sampson MLX3, which is a Dyneema core, with Polyester cover on all halyards.

Spliced my own main halyard which is looking good 2 years on. Jib and spin use simple halyard knots
Splicing video - dyneema core

So we are using the same size line and my front halyards are binding at the cage/forestay clevis pin junction and yours are not....
I will assume your front halyards are near the forestay.

What is the difference?? A picture of yours may be the answer. When your mast comes down.
