Does anyone have a source for the curved "T" track on the Cat 30?

Which T-track are you referring to? If it's the inboard genoa deck tracks, the gentle curve would be achieved on installation rather than with a built-in track curve.

You simply work from one end, a hole at a time. My technique is to drill slightly undersized pilot holes, then run a thread tap through the deck slowly, chucked in a second cordless drill. Then run down your fastener only moderately tight as it grips on the inner and outer laminates - no washer/nut needed inside at this point. With the first two bolts installed from the deck you can have an assistant bend the far end until the next hole is where you want it, then again drill and tap through the track hole, and repeat, etc. I then remove fasteners one-at-a-time, then re-install each after coating the bolt's mid-to-upper section with Life Caulk (not silicone).

Thanks Pete. I appreciate that. I did not know that the T track would bend. However I am new to this and have a follow up question. What is a "thread tap"

Thanks Pete. I appreciate that. I did not know that the T track would bend. However I am new to this and have a follow up question. What is a "thread tap"
A "tap" cuts precise threads for bolts/machine screws - generally in metal, but will work in plastics and fiberglass with less holding power, but enough to hold the track down snugly while bending. Taps are usually hand-driven with a dedicated "T" handle with a small chuck on the business end for the square tap head, and this is the best way to start if you haven't used one before. Much quicker chucked in a drill, though, when you've learned to control it with a light trigger finger...

1" track uses 1/4" flathead bolts, and 1.25" 5/16". Be sure you get the right tap for the thread pitch of your bolts, with preference for the coarser pitch for most boat applications, which would be 1/4"-20 for the 1" track. You can find taps of all usual sizes in most hardware stores. Of course you could just drill 1/4" holes and run down below to put on washer/nut for each one as you drill the hole, as the track must be fixed in place by the well-seated bevel of the FH bolt to control the bend.
