The bottom portion of the starboardcabin bulkhead in my C-30 TR is rotting at the bottom due to leakage (probably from the chainplate fitting.) I am going to solve the leak but also want to replace the bulkhead. I am planning on removing the bulkhead while the boat is in the water and then cutting new 1/2" teak faced marine plywood to the same size. Are there any problems that I need to know about? BILL

Did this on my first C-30 years ago. No major problems. Ordered a new bulkhead from Catalina. I don't remember the cost but it was very reasonable. The bulkhead came with the trim installed and slightly over sized on the hull side. To install: - Release tension on rig. - Remove chainplate. - Remove old bulkhead. - Use old bulkhead as template. Trim new bulkhead Drill new bolt and screw holes. - Install new bulkhead
