C 25 Help Needed

A friend of mine who is a novice sailor has recently purchased a 1984 Catalina 25 and has asked me to help him initially step the mast and rig the boat. He has the owners manual (I have not seen it yet). Will it supply sufficient information or is there any experienced knowledge that would be helpful? Bill Jones
