i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW LONG THE CABLE TUBE [ RUBBER ] THAT GOES TO THE WINCH ISSUPPOSED TO BE? ALSO IT APPEARS THAT THE CENTER OF THE WINCH ISN,T IN THE CENTER OF THE HOLE IN THE HULL THAT THE CABLE COMES THROUGH. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE HELPFULL.

Robbie my tube for the keel cable is about one inch short of the height of the cable winch so I would measure the distance from the pipe to the bottom of the winch and subtract one inch remmeber to acount for the hose siding over the pipe and make it long enough.As for the winch not being lined up over the center of pipe ,. My winch is a little of also but the turnign ball keeps the cable fro chewing through the pipe and the hose is not bothered by it either. I would check to make surer you have a turning ball in good shape when you replace the hose. Let us know how it goes for you

HerbThanks for your reply.The cable comes up through the hole and comes behind the ball [stern] so would it not still rub on the fiberglass tower?Paul
