C 22 First real sail

Today was my first real sail in my new boat a '74 C 22. Wind was 15 to 18, seas 3 to 4 feet and it handled great just as expected. With a big puff rather than heal way over she tended to head up to the wind. Had the keel line really humming too which is good I think. Only wish I had jib roller furling. Not the fastest boat in the sound but I bet one of the most stable and comfortable.

cant beat it

bob, sounds like you had a great sail, i had my first hot sail on my c22 this season too25-30 plus puffs, lots of lessons learned, they are great boats! we just returned from a nice sunset sail this evening complete with fireworks, hmmmmmmm, yes, life is good!. jeff.

just had mine

Took my new (used) 1974 Cat 22 #4599 out for the first time last week also. Only time for one sail this year, but really looking forward to spring '03!
