First time ever to BVIs. 1. What is weather like that time of year? Does it get dark early 5:00 PM? 2. How are the winds and what is their usual direction in November? 3. Seems to be the low season, Do services/restaurants etc close down? 4. Any comments on where we should go and avoid during our sail. 5. Anagada? Is it worth it? Sounds like a 3-4 hr sail. 6. What is the best company for provisions near the Sunsail docks? Thanks to all!

We are from West Van and Edmonton a long time ago and were in the BVI's for the fifth time in May. You will love it. No stress. Summer is the slow period because of the hurricanes and heat. November is the end of hurricane season so most places should be open. Bobby's will pick you up at Sunsail for provisions. Sunsail and other charter companies will probably not let you sail to Anagada on your own unless you have sailed there before with a captain or a flotilla. Make sure you use a bug spray for the sand fleas. I can't recommend one because nothing seems to work for me. They are nasty. Some say drink a lot of gin. Avoid San Juan if you can and fly to USVI's and take the ferry to Road Town. See the link for what I think is the most informative forum for the BVI's.
