Here is a video I made from our recent trip to the BVIs. We chartered for 1 week and stayed on Tortola for 3 days. Enjoy.

Great video. Reminds me of the places we were at in February. Looks like the wind is a lot calmer than in February. I think the lightest wind was between 10-15 knts. Most days were 15-25.

Finially got to watch the bvi video on my iPod ... Very nice film!
No luck with my super duper hot rod windows 8 maxed out desktop office computer. Some YouTube videos work just fine , other do not.... I believe the problem is that some people are using the wrong settings when they upload their videos. ??

Go Pro ...

That's what I was wondering while watching Kathy paddle, seemingly on her own ... was Tim paddling with Go Pro on his hat, or was he holding a camera? I didn't see any paddles or splashing coming from the rear so I'm guessing Tim wasn't pulling his weight! :naughty:

Busted. I was indeed holding the camera(GoPro 3). Unfortunately YouTube does not do the video justice. The raw clips I play from the camera to my HD TV are stunning.

We were there in BVI early March, again for our 3rd time. Nice video. Where were you when you saw the ray?

Tim - nice video, what did you do the editing in?

For those deeper dives pick up one of these filters. They eliminate the red tint, just don't use the filter when you are in less than 10 feet of water or it will actually give everything a red tint.

The videos were edited first with GoPro's Cineform Studio which converts them to MP4. I then removed any shaking using VirtualDub and the Deshaker filter. The photos were processed using Google Picasa. The final content was compiled using Windows Movie Maker. All of these tools are freely available on the web.

I actually did use the red filter in water that was too shallow. This was my first attempt at underwater photos/video with the GoPro and did not realise I was not deep enough until I got back to the boat and reviewed the footage. So the red tint you see was caused by the filter. I was able to correct it a bit using Picasa and Cineform.

I got the GoPro3 for Christmas and took some video snorkeling and diving in Puerto Rico back in Feb that I have been meaning to edit. Did the same thing with my red filter, first time out and used it too shallow and turned the video red. Although it looks absolutely fantastic at depth!

Get the red filter if your going to dive with it. You'll love it, the picture quality is fantastic (camera in general)...
