We purchased a new main for our 1992 - 35.5 two years ago from Doyle. The loft in Halifax did the work and we were more than satisfied with the product and the price. I'd contact them or the Doyle representative in Quebec/Ontario. We're looking at a new 150% jib now and are looking at two lofts, Doyle Halifax and Michelle Stevens also in Nova Scotia.

Can't help with the lofts you've listed but since you're checking around I suggest you talk to these guys:

One of a very few lofts that actually build their sails on site rather than just take the measurements and order them from some factory in the far east. I find they are competitive and produce an excellent product. The sails I've purchased have been racing sails but if I were looking for cruising sails I would talk to them for sure.

Doyle was very competitive for my headsail and so was this site's loft pricing. Quality was first rate and contact with the corp owner was extremely helpful in solving a problem.

Ditto! We've been very happy with our Doyle sails and the care they put into making sure we were happy. Their post sale service has also been excellent.
Escape currently flies a cruising laminate main, a racing dacron jib, an asymetrical chute and a mylar/pentex code zero, all from Doyle. They've held up very well and trim beautifully.

I got a new mainsail from Doyle and love it also. 4 full battens with an extra top one for his heavy air. Wouldn't buy a partial batten main after this new one. Keeps the flogging to a minimum when raising and dropping too.

got the "stack" pack also which acts as a lazy jack system but more importantly very quick to put the sail away.

Evolution is the original Quantum loft.

I have dealt with them on Hunter sails for years, and reccomended them to several people.
They make an excellent product, and will stand behind their workmanship to the nth Degree 416-503-1931

I had Doyle sails on my 2004 41AC. After just 2 years they were bagged so bad they were uncontrollable. The loft in Tampa said they couldn't do anything for me. So I have a bad taste in my mouth for Doyle sails. I would tell you to work with a local loft that has a good reputation among fellow sailors. I went with Knighton sails in Bradenton. They looked at the old sails and helped me decide on the correct material for my rig and sailing area. They made a coouple of adjustments after sailing with us. They have been on the boat for 6 years and we just took 1st place in 2 local regattas. One had wind gusts nearing 30 kts. Local knowledge is the key.

There may be a difference in the OEM Doyle sails, and the regular offering. OEM sails are often a less expensive fabric, and nearly all production boat manufacturer's use a lower initial quality.

We're proud to offer Doyle, the loft we use has over 35 years of experience and you're able to speak directly with the designer, a man with 50 years of experience in sails.

Good morning Butch,

Thanks a lot for your input. Many people said that Doyle sails were pretty good, lower price, etc..... I'm glad to here another story.

Have a nice day.
