Annapolis?
I wonder if I know the boat. What is its name and where is it? I don't have a manual because I have a Bukh, but it won't be hard to come up with one. The rudder post is a common design. If its too loose, remedies range from inserting plastic around the shaft as a quick fix bushing to the formal fix of injecting epoxy into several points in the tube to restore its tightness. If its bent, thats a worse problem and might necessitate a replacement. You can probably get sailplans off the sailnet site, although some sailmakers like to measure the boat rather than trust catalogue dimensions. There are also dimensions probably listed on sail source sites like Bacon, Sail Warehouse, etc. Other points of inspection are the 'dreaded beam', the metal transverse bilgebeam under the compression post, and any bulkhead deterioration. Your best advice will come by joining the email list at sailnet and corresponding with the very active owners groups there. Contact me directly if you need more specific info, alot is already documented on the Cal/Sailnet site.
