Dave, I plan on buying a mid 30 foot sailboat next spring. Most of my sailing initially will be in the Chesapeake, but as I get more experience, I plan on venturing further afield. Bermuda is only a few days away. I know that Island Packet is a true blue water boat, but you have to pay for it. I'm also looking at Beneteaus (361/381/or the new 393). They seem structurally very sound and seem to offer what I want at a more affordable price. What I don't want to do is buy a boat next year that I'll have to replace if I develop a taste for serious cruising. Your thoughts? Thanks, Steve
