Buying a 1983 Catalina 25

I am looking at buying a 1983 Catalina 25, retractable keel and would like comments from people who still own these boats. What to look for over and above normal wear and tear. What items to have covered in the survey. I am a monohull novice, former Hobie owner...all comments about purchasing an older, used sailboat would be appreciated. Thanks!

great boat

We own a 1982-25, this is a great ocean sailor. The only problem we have is a rain leak in the port locker. We have reset and caulked everything! Our last try is to reglass the anchor locker. Leaks can start and end up anywhere!! We replaced the keel cable, which we check about every two years. Its a wonderful boat with lots os storage!! Good luck!!
