You know I am all about wanting to get out and learn to sail. Of course you have not heard any tails from the water of late.

Well winds, I need winds under 10 knots and not gusty.
This weekend looks like 15-20 gusting to 30. Actually for the next week beyond and the last couple of weeks we have had only short periods of something under 10 with not threat of storms.

I have done some biking.

Till I sail again, I will maybe get some time to edit video, well learn to edit video on my 8 year old slow Mac.

Likely prudent choice to wait for comfortable wind conditions, gusting 30 knots would likely not be much fun just yet

Weather is one of the things that makes sailing so engaging, never the same experience each time out! So many things in todays world are sooooo safe and predictable it’s good that you are experimenting with sailing and introducing your kids to the wonderful variations of nature.

Be patient, the right conditions for you to feel reasonably comfortable in will present themselves. Once you get a few successful outings in your confidence level will ramp up and you might just find yourself out in the gusting to 30 stuff having a blast!!
