The windows on my 1986 C22 leak. I am about to repair them (remove & reseal with the black caulk-like stuff) but got to wondering. Would butyl tape be an easier solution? Isn't that what RVs use? I was thinking about taping around the edge of the window vs the caulk stuff. By the way these are the "modern" windows and do not have the aluminum frame. The plastic window presses up against the boat fiberglass. I'm not looking forward to doing the traditional approach but will if I have to. What do you think? Anyone tried this? Thanks!
