Along with two other boats, I will be heading out tomorrow morning for a summer-long, mostly single-handed cruise. The route is the length of Lake Ontario, down the St Lawrence River past Montreal to Sorel QC, up the Richelieu River to Lake Champlain, stopping at Burlington VT amongst other places, then to the Champlain Canal, Hudson River, Erie Canal, the Oswego Canal back to Lake Ontario and, 52 locks and more than 1000 miles later, home.
