They really look great, too. We decided against screen printing and went for an extra-heavy nylon with appliqued graphic elements. In other words, it looks pretty darn sturdy. It can be read from both sides, too. :)

We made one small change in the design: we felt the boat should be sailing with following seas, rather than perpetually beating. :)

The first run will sell for a special introductory price of $17.95, postage included. Regular price will be $19.95.

Be sure to post some kudos for Bob Poff, who contributed the design!

Good Show

Though I didn't like some of the stops in the evoloution of this project design, I have to admit this is a handsome final product. Well done!

Was thinking about getting two for when the first one wears out, since it will be flying A LOT....

It looks great!
Weird though, I was lurking here last night and I almost posted wondering what happened to them since I hadn't heard anything.

burgee

I just ordered mine and they promised it would get here in time for me to fly it on my August sail to Santa Cruze Island and Anacapa Island. If you see it on my sail wave.

Speaking of burgees

Thank you to all who had a part in the design and evoloution of the burgee. I'll be on the look out for it.

Speaking of burgees.
When is the proper time to fly the burgee? 24/7 or just when the captain is aboard? Or when actually out and about?
Keep it up,

Thanks Phil and Bob

I have also just ordered mine and will fly it when sailing. Our club burgee is similar in material (I think) and has been flying at all times during boating season. After 2 seasons the tip is coming apart, so ready for a new club burgee also.

One thing I have tried in the past is to dip the tip of the burgee in Elmer's Glue. It would dry clear and provide some protection for the stitching.

Looks Great!! I'll order soon. A question if I may . . .

I have a spreader halyard "installed" but I'm not sure how to make proper attachments for the flags/burgees. I have a club burgee and will add this one too. Do I cut the halyard and add clips to the ends then attach the burgees with clips? Or do I tie the clips on (somehow) so that the halyard is intact?

Thanks!!

No Clips Needed

Take a bight in the halyard, push it through the top eye of the burgee, and tie a knot in the other side big enough to prevent it slipping back through. Repeat for the bottom burgee eye. The bit of line between the eyes doesn't have to be tight: it' not bearing any load.
