We spent a couple weeks on our new boat and there were lots of mosquitoes. I bought some 1 inch PVC and 90 elbows and made a base frame and then we put netting around it like in the picture....
.... We didn't have much to work with, so just hand sewed the netting to the frame in a couple places. I also put a fitting in the PVC frame and filled it with water for weight.
It worked very well. Now that we are home we will sew up some like in the picture, but we will probably also add skirts around the bottom.
I don't have picture up yet, but we found a great way to get air into the cabin when the wind is blowing. Ruth modified our pop-top cover....
...so that it has windows in the front that open. We opened those and then clamped a towel across and inside of the pop-top cover top about where you sit inside. The air comes in hits the towel which acts as a scoop and goes down into the cabin and over you while you are sitting. Without the towel the air stays high and goes right out the back and you sit there sweltering in the heat. This worked so well that in the evening we had to take the towel down as it got too cold. I'll try and post pictures at some point if there is any interest,
