Be sure to wax it afterwards. I've lost about 50% of the wetsanding shine because I skipped that part. I had a marine detailer claim that ceramic can last up to 5 seasons so perhaps it's worthwhile to look into that

After compounding, I would suggest washing off the hull. Then I used a good cleaner wax sometime twice. Then a good pure wax as the final coat. Worked well for me as a dealer

Pay attention to what products you use to wash your boat afterwards. Some, like Simple Green, remove wax.
Many boat soaps remove wax, so you end up with streaks of waxed and unwaxed areas on the vertical topsides of the hull. One of Mainesail's many suggestions was that Imar boat soap does not remove wax (correct), and it smells so good!

My go-to cleaning products are by Chemical Guys. I use them on the cars and the boat. They are gentle on the finish. I still use Collinite Fleetwood and Woody wax for the finishing touches on the boat
