Need help have a broken Australia Barlow 21 needs replacing. We are thinking of replacing both on the cabin to Lewmar Self Tailing but dont know the proper size any advise? 1988 Hunter 28.5

Starting March 10 to 16 West Marine is running a BOGO on winches, I would wait until then to purchase. Barlow and Barient are the same company I believe.

Wenches are a whole different department, one that is very hard to measure......
My wench broke my winch by using a wrench on it.

OK Here you go. This came from L-36.com site it is a listing of comparisons for the winches on many boats. You have a Barient/Barlow winch. A #21. You can use the table to find your winch specifics in the "Standard Winch" area and choose one of the current manufactures with similar numbers.

You could look into replacing some of your lines while you are at it.
Or at least soaking them in a bucket of diaper detergent.
Black moldy lines can come up pretty nicely if they are not to far gone.
