I have a broken stanchion base on my Hunter 34. The factory doesn't have any. Does anyone know where I can find one?

How bad?

Ben, Stainless welding can be done with great results. The only thing I would try to find is a welder that will bring the stainless to a 2000 degree temp after welding for the longevity of the weld. r.w.landau

Try salvage yards

If you are refering to the milled aluminum base, the company that made them is long gone. Try salvage yards. I tried to locate one a year ago with no luck. Happy hunting, Bob

Try giving TIQ a call:

http://www.topsinquality.com/ And maybe these guys: http://www.sailors-exchange.com/index.html I know there are salvage yards in Florida, maybe check the ads in Cruising World and Sail.

Tidewater MD usually has stock

Recently saw replacements at Tidewater Marina's Store at Havre De Grace MD. 410-939-0950. Also read my last years reply on prevention of frost damage to H34 stanchions.
