I'm looking for a good replacement to the original sail slugs and plastic shakles that came with my H26. I had several of the shakles and sail slug fail after a couple of years. The Aquabatten A023 shakles don't really fit in the 1/4" grommet on the mainsail. I had my sail loft sew on replace the shakles with a small loop of nylon webbing that goes through the grommet on the sail and the sail slug, its not easy to do a quick repair if I have to sew on a new sail slug. I also tried replacing the original sail slugs with Aquabon sail slugs that have a stainless loop molded into a nylon slug. These are more durable, but they can become stuck in the sail track when raising or lowering the main. The original sail slugs have a flat piece that goes on the outside of the track on the mast that prevents the slug from becoming wedge in the track. Has anyone come up with a good solution?
