Here's the situation. I just bought this '86 H-23 (my first sailboat). The former owner had the mast laying on the mast crutch for trailering. He left the Hood roller furling system connected, sail and all. It kind of snaked back and forth from the forestay plate to the end of the mast. When I was trying to reach under the cockpit for something, I gently pushed the jib over a little bit and I heard a loud snap. It appears that the long plastic piece that goes along the forestay is now broken (the sail/forestay now easily bends sharply at that point). How much damage did I do? Is this expensive? Is it easy to fix?Signed,Bummed-out in Florida (Kris)
