The plastic donut (size 2 3/4") on the main outhaul broke...I need the name, suggestions on replacement, and I am really unsure of its purpose. Thanks for any help.

Wow, talk about lack of information! For those who want to help I think he has an H420. I assume that means with a furling main. Would that be a Selden mast? Maybe the part can be found here: http://www.seldenmast.com/products/?itemID=23
Your local West store or rigging shop should have them. Usually just called shackle guards or spinnaker sheet donuts. The diameter of the hole in the middle will need to match your line. I think the purpose on your boat is to prevent the splice from getting stuck in the clew block.
