My 1980 O'Day 23 has experienced 3 broken masts, the latest one, my first, leaves me wondering what the fore, aft and upper & lower side stays' tensions should be. I'm considering upgrading to a O'Day 25 mast system (23's .0105" vs. 25's .0130" gauge) (per Dwyer Aluminum, hinge plate is the same) for the boat. Any tension numbers or other suggestions / wisdom would be much appreciated. Thanks!
