I suggest you check your folding mast steps which are installed on some of the larger models. Mine is a Legend series and uses folding mast steps called Mast Walker. The ears of the folding step sheared off, fortunately after I had already stepped up to the next one. It was the lower step, and I may have contributed to it by leaving the mast step unfolded all the time since I hang a coiled line on it.To remove the unit, I saturated everything with WD 40 overnight and used a hand impact wrench. Don't even think of trying to remove it without one. (See photo) I located the current manufacturer in the UK. See the link. I e-mailed them, and received no reply, about par for the course. However, before calling them, I checked with West Marine and found a knock-off Chinese product called the ABI folding mast step. Just for fun, I compared the two to find the ABI is larger and the holes don't match up. However, the mast step itself will work in the Mast Walker base with some minor filing on the base to flatten it to correspond to the flatter ABI step. While buying a new unit from the UK is probably a better solution, this is to let you know that another solution exists.Hope this helps someone in the future. Rick D.
