Was help a guy who has a broken mass near the spreaders, Is there any repair kit or splice kit for this or do you have to buy a new mast? Were would you find them?
Bad place for a break - very hard to make a reliable repair. Find out the manufacturer (it is NOT made by the boat manufacturer) of the mast then use Google to locate them. Rigrite carries several different brands. They are at rigrite.com
I had a crack repaired at the spreader due to huricane Charley by JSI in Tampa. They welded a reinforcement sleeve over the crack. The biggest problem is transport.
