I took my O'Day out for a sail today. Coming back in one of the crew got hit with what looked like a bearing and suddenly the front jib started to come down. Being new to sailing with little experience with roller furling equipment , what looks like happened was the part of the furling system at the top that is pulled up by the halyard fractured and broke, leaving a small part still at the top with the halyard attached, and the larger part of the assembly down and still atteched to the sail. You can see some ball bearings missing. Can someone tell me who would be the best to call for a repair like this.Like either sailmaker or boatyard or whoever. Also can you still buy replacement parts for old Harken furlers.
