Hunter 37 Cutter Perth Amboy
My sailboat was damaged by another boat. The bow rail was pushed into the furler breaking it.
the boat is a 1984 Hunter 37' cutter. The mast is keel stepped with 3 shrouds on each side supporting. Can I rely on the shrouds to support the mast while I undo the clevis pin so I can remove the furling drum and a foil? These were damaged in the accident .
Thank you
Jim

Im not an expert......but i did stay in a holiday inn last year. My 2 cents, you may want to run your jib halyard down to bow fitting just as an extra precaution.....

Yep, use the jib halyard and spinnaker halyard if you have one to replace the forestay. We can offer unbeatable pricing on Harken and Furlex furlers.

We will have to talk to you about that. I want to convert a main to a furling mizzen staysail, so will need a 49’ furler.
