Does anyone know where I might obtain parts for one of the british Seagull motors? Thanx in advance. Gary

Good luck

I believe the Seagull was used by the Brits on small boats during WWII, and hasn't been improved upon since. I was always intrigued by its two speeds (zoom and stop), which required killing the engine at a certain point so as to glide into the dock. The other key feature was reverse, which entailed literally turning the motor on its access. The thing is a danger to women and children in terms of heat burns, but otherwise an adventure all unto itself.

I believe

I have a friend who has one of the Seagull motors. He really likes it (due to its reliability and simplicity). It is my understanding that there is a Company in Florida who handles spare/repair parts. If I see my friend in the near future, I will ask him.

Gary, you might try posting your ? on TSBB...

there is a loyal Seagull following over there. I'm sure you can get more assistance there as well as right here.

Seagull Parts

I've had success with Ron Battison at the British Seagull Shop in Victoria, B.C. The attached web site link will give you his phone number and mailing address.

Thanx for the info... I found the site you mention and have been in contact with them. They indeed are a fountain of info concering one of the best motors ever made -- despite the feelings of the uninformed.
