I just bought a Bristol Corinthian(19') . I knew going in that Bristols were prone to Hull/deck Joint leaks. So, How is the hull joined to the deck? and What can be done to repair this problem? Also does any Corinthian owner know what's the largest size sail slug the mast will take? Mine measure 3/8" can it accept a 1/2"? Thanks so much , Carl Alberg really knew what he was doing.

Congratulations on getting your Corinthian!

Not sure about the 60's models built by Sailstar, but the later models had large ss staples. The joint was sealed with caulk, and some, had a layer of fiberglass tape applied to the inside.

If it doesn't leak now, I'd leave it alone. It's a major project removing the rubber rub rail, grinding off all the staples, and pulling the joint apart, to re-seal and bolt the joint back together.

My 67 Corinthian, has the seam well caulked from the inside. It doesn't look like it has ever leaked. But I only bought it in may, and haven't had it in the water yet.
