Bristol 27
A very nice boat.... my neighbor at the marina has one. see the pic. The previous owner of "Pisces" cruised her in the South Pacific back in the late 70's. Later, the current owner cruised the so cal coast, its channel islands also the coast of northern baja. Low aspect sail plan with oversized rigging, a solid glass hull, narrow beam, full keel and a small diesel making her very steady in a seaway. Not as roomy as the more modern crackerboxes but much safer and stronger. The Bristol 27 is discussed extensively in John Vigor's "20 Small Sailboats to Take You Anywhere"http://www.practical-sailor.com/pub/1_1/boatreview/1135-1.htmlhttp://www.bristolmarine.com/BristolYachts.htmlhttp://www.sailnet.com/collections/buyingaboat/boatcheck/boatcheck.cfm?page=detail2&Model=947http://www.alberg30.org/CarlAlberg/designs.htmlhttp://www.alberg30.org/collaborate/BristolTwentySeven
