Brass plated oil lamp for salon

I am looking for a replacement oil lamp for the salon of our '92 Catalina 42. It's the one that hangs over the table. The brass plating is really corroded and will not clean. Does anyone know where to find a replacement and/or can they be re-plated successfully? Thanks, L.

Most all modern brass lamps are coated with a lacquer and if the coating breaks down, the brass beneath will corrode and discolor. There is virtually nothing you can do to polish it out, short of stripping the coating. Contact Catalina for their supplier if You want an exact replacement.

Lamps

Weems and Plath have some beautiful lamps. WM, BUS and other stores carry them. Not sure how old mine are, but they aren't laquered. Need polishing about twice a season.
