Howdy, My wife and I own a 430 (1996). Last weekend we attended an auction/fundraiser for PSCC (Puger Sound Cuising Club) and we bid on/won the opportunity for Brion Toss (legendary Port Townsend rigger) to come down to our boat and perform a rig tune seminar on our 430. There were two demo boat auctions, the other guy who won is a standard rig with a backstay. Ours is of course, without a backstay/box rig/swept back spreader. As it stands, there will be little interest for people to attend our seminar (vs. the standard rig), and quite honestly, maybe its better to have less people so the rigger can focus on just my wife and I. But I figured this would be a good opportunity to get a lesson on how to tune your box rig (should you have one). A good opportunity for the PNW Hunter owners in general so I thought I would sign up and post this. PSCC is a non-profit orgnization (to which I really have no affliation) however to attend they would probably ask that you pay the $25 fee that they were also auctioning off at the benefit last Saturday. I am assuming they will, would have to ask. If you are at all interested in this, feel free to ping me. Start by posting your interest in here which I think will notify me. I also have allowed other users to send Emails to me so try that as well. It just seems like an unusually unique opportunity with a very low cost attached for such a specialty skill. I will have to admit once again that I do not know if they will accept more participants but I suspect they will. It hasnt been scheduled yet but the first try for this will probably be on April 22nd.
