Bow Thruster retrofit H 420 2004/5

I have been trying to find a good bow thruster for my 420. Several outfits I have contacted tell me that with this particular model putting a thruster in is problematic because of the forward head, tank, space, etc. I do not want to use an exterior model (poor performance extra drag.) Any 420 owners (2003 or later apparently earlier models don't have this issue) out there who have had one installed have any recommendations.

I agree that the external thrusters have disadvantages.
I would suggest looking at the water jet thrusters
The great thing about these is that you can have it as a stern thruster as well,
Will definitely fit your hull with no tunnel.
It’s a bit pricey, but will definitely do the job

I had an external thruster installed at Harrinton North on my 410. Could not be happier with it, saw no performance difference.

I looked at one of those last year very pricey about 30% higher

I haven't done it, but know people that have. It entails raising the head on a pedestal to accommodate the thruster head. Fiberglass work.
I personally haven't found the need. My recollection it was about a $10,000 job

Could you post some pics of the installation and how it looks out of the water? Did you add an extra battery?

Added 2 extra batteries under the pullman for 24 volts. System came with a step-up charger
