Hi, I need some help figuring out my bow roller...
1) I.D.ing the bow roller manufacturer (see pictures)
2) Should there be a bail? The piece of metal in-between the washer and main body of the bow roller "flips" up vertically and you can see there is a hole.
3)This does not seem like a particularly robust bow roller. If I want to keep the anchor on the bow will this do? The PO left the anchor in the locker most of the time, taking it out when needed.

Thanks!

At 11000 lbs displacement, I would agree the roller does not appear to be adequate. An anchor roller generally provides a path for chain and rode to be dropped overboard and retrieved. The boat aligns with the anchor dug into the sea/lake floor as the chain and road is retrieved. Your setup would not be compatible with this function. The boat would want to veer away from the anchor As the chain/rode is pulled in over the roller.

Chain and rode would put angular strain on the roller as it was retrieved. The roller unit does not look sevure to permit this process.

Here is an example of a strong roller. It would be secured to the bow facing forward. A strong backing plate would be used.
