What is the best way to remove the pulpit without droping the roller furlong? She's a1988 30 catalina tall rig. By removing the pulpit would I be able to run new nav light wires.??

If your nav light is mounted on the pulpit, then you should be able to do it. However, you could probably replace the wires without pulling the pulpit. Are you removing the pulpit for some other reason, or do you just want to replace the wires? Not sure, though, why you would have to remove the furler...isn't it mounted to the bow or the sprit?

Follow the wires under the deck... I don't think you need to remove the pulpit to run new ones... use the old ones to fish the new, if possible. Under the deck, there should be tube access at one of the mounting brackets. I can't imagine why you'd need to disconnect the furler to remove the pulpit... but if you wanted, simply pull the clevis pin out at the stemhead, where the forestay turnbuckle connects, and push the whole thing out of the way.
