I'm not sure if this is the place but I'm looking for info on where to find a Bow Perch for my dad's bday for his 36 Catalina. It's the seat up front that connects to the bars I think. Not a knowledgable sailer myself, just want to get dad something great for his boat...

Trying to

lose your dad? You should get a lawyer to format a binding document that says you and or he and or she and others are never responsible for Dad going forward and tripping on the wind. Sounds like Dad is *5 Go for it! Stu Try Teakconcepts.com

Pat: I don't think you can find them commercially but they are simple to build. I built mine using oak but got sick of varnishing so I made another one with Starboard. Starboard is the same stuff they make the stern perches out of. After I built the first one, every Catalina owner on my dock wanted one. The problem is, and I already knew this before I tried to duplicate the bow seat, is that no two Catalina's are the same and my pattern would not fit other Catalinas so each one would have to be custom made. The bow perch is a lot of fun especially when the dophin are chasing your bow wave. I have a picture of the bow seat on my web site. Send me an Email at yankee3223@juno.com and I'll provide you with the web site. I can't post the web site here because I sell my products there.

Tomfoolery: Thanks mate for posting the picture. I really have to learn how to post pictures. I can't seem to access Phil's instructions on how to do it.

Tomfoolery: I hope your reading this. Thank you for the instructions. I think I'm going to get hung up on step 3 - click browse and find picture file on the hard drive. All my pictures are in a Kodak file. Am I suppose to transfer them somewhere? Trimming a main or jib is easier than thsi computer stuff.
