Hi,

I need to replace my bow light, I intended to remove the bulb to replace it but it was encrusted in and when I tried to remove it the assembly broke off. I removed the entire light housing and snipped the wires, the screws were totally rusted. Now, when searching for an LED replacement I found a good one on marinebeam dot com but the mounting screws are vertical. Our factory installed Hella light has horizontal screw mounts. Hella has a replacement but it's very expensive and I'm not sure the quality is the same as marinebeam.

Can someone look at their Hunter 410 and check out the bow light mount and tell me: 1) Does it have screws for vertical mounting (screw hole on top and bottom center) or only horizontal screw holes (left and right)? Also, is it possible to drill new holes if I move the wiring?

Thanks

You could always use a small wood block sandwiched in between to allow for vertical and horizontal mounting of the screws.

Ahh, good point. Starboard Poly would be a good choice for that and I have a small price of that already laying around.

Using a Starboard mounting under the light was exactly the way I did it, and for the same reason. Had and used white, shoulda used black to match the housing.

Ahh, black, another good pointer, thank you. I actually have a bit of black already.

Thanks
