Bow damage 26.5

Over the last weekend we were involved in a miner bow to bow collision with are hunter 26.5. A small pice about 1.5 inches in diameter chipped off the bow. Should we be worried about this? What should we do to fix it? I am a new boat owner, and don't want anything to happen to my boat.
Please help

Do you have a pic for us? It would sure help. Is it a through hull or just a surface chip? Through hull will require fiberglassing work and a gelcoat chip would just require a gelcoat repair. Google fiberglass repair and gelcoat repair and you'll find tons of sites devoted to sailboat repair. Some pics however would let us guide your decision making. Good luck.
