My bow cleat is loose - can't screw back in nor loosen to put in bigger screws. Can't get to base on the inside as it is too forward. Wanted to slide in a bolt with those spring loaded "t"s that pop out once you insert, but can't get the current screws out. What to do? Squirt in fiberglass like substance? Bondo? Lots of glue is one solution but not the right one...

cut it!

What I have done in this situation, is if a part is loose, usually you can slide a hack saw blade underneath it and cut the retaining screw out!

Look one more Time!

Hi Jay...... On the 26X I tightened the bow cleats and installed an anchor roller while in the bow section. I removed the floatation and sent Mini Me in under the cleats. It's tough but can be done. Don't know about the Mac 25. You will need through bolts, cause screws aren't near strong enough for cleats. happy crawling...dan
