Bottom problems

I had a boat yard peel the gelcoat off the bottom of my boat and, at there recomendation, apply Interprotect 2000 directly to the bare laminate. I now find out that they should have sealed the hull, with interprotect 1000 first as the 2000 has a solvent in it that could cause the hull to delaminate. The boat yard says that Interlux just wants to sell the whole system and that the 2000 over the bare {gelcoat removed}fiberglass is fine and done regurly with no problems. The interlux tec rep I talked to was of no help, stateing how the product was intended to be used. Does anyone out there have any experience on how to correct this or am I worring over nothing? Thanks for the help.
