I am painting the bottom of my Hunter 23. I was wondering if anyone had a good tip for working around the boat stands? I can paint and then move them. However, I am surre there are better tricks. Any advice would be appreciated.BE6A246C-56A5-4D74-B1AD-4A78766F11B1.jpeg

Nope.... Moving them is your option. Just do it once. Or paint it before you lift it back on the trailer. Bottom paint dries rapidly... so you really can't mess it up.

If you can get two more stands, then place them next to the two you want to remove and of course chain them together. I use to put clear plastic over the pad so the fuzzy wuzzy of the carpet on the pads did not mar up the freshly painted part. Right at the curve toward the bottom of the hull, rap it till you get the sound for the thickest part of the hull and suggest putting the pads there as you have more support. If the hull is being pushed in will indicate the thinnest portion of the hull which is not good for placement.
