Years ago as a dealer with issues about paint not staying on the prop shaft, strut and prop shaft, a good friend of mine who owns a respected yard told me what to do which works and wanted to pass this on to you.
1. Clean off and sand wiping off with acetone
2. Apply Petit Metal Primer #6455
3. Apply Petit Tiecoat primer #6627
4. Apply a hard bottom paint (not ablative)
