Pat; there is the safety factor should the boat fall and you are caught between the boat and the trailer. Should the boat fall and contort the boat, you can break the seal of the water tank inside which is not a pretty site to clean and repair. Some have tried using low jack stands but agian the safety factor and anyway you look at it, you will not be able to get to the centerboard trunk housing. You can crane the boat off but the exspense is high and you will need a cradle or jack stands Crazy Dave Condon
