Hopefully it will last few months until I get the boat back down to my home port.
What do you mean, "hopefully it will last"? Since it has no anti fouling capabilities, what do you expect it to do?

Hope it prevents any water intrusion or gel coat blistering. I know there will be stuff that will grow or slime on. But hopefully the bottom gel coat is in good enough condition to withstand 1-2 months in freshwater

RWSlater,
Years ago and not sure which governmental agency, a component for anti fouling was ordered removed which helped anti fouling paints to dry quicker than now to include in colder climate conditions up to a certain point. This included Petit paints as I used mostly Trinidad and in colder climates while on the sling and/or on stands would take a long time to dry. The problem is where the straps and stands the boat would sit in on newly painted surfaces would be affected, not in the water. I did have to leave the boats sitting much longer to dry hard which is one reason why the tempature requirements. I decided to use plastic though on the straps going over the new paint as well as on the stands which did help. I would adhere to the temp and before moving the boat, pick the new paint with your finger nail to see if it is still too soft to move. I was a full fledged dealer now retired.

Thanks Dave, good info I think I'll plan on paper between the straps and the bottom when it comes time and I'll put paper on the stands. I had the bow thruster prop off to clean it all up and repaint it, and I'm not sure how cool it was in the garage but it wasn't warm and I'm guessing below 50° and it dried very quickly and turned out real nice. The prop had been sitting in the garage for a few days so it was as cold as the air. I'll get the bottom all ready and wait until mid April to paint. It's GOT to get warm by then right??? I get to shovel 20” off the walk tomorrow. Ugh!
