Bottom Paint

Thanks to all who responded to my first request-the bottom paint on our 1995 29.5 looks to be West Marine BottomSheild. The chandlery recommends a water based "Aquarius" but I was thinking BottomPro Plus. Any suggestions or other recommendations? We just have to buff up the existing paint, right?

Just a suggestion

In my experience in bottom painting, I have found that a good paint for fresh water boats is Micron CSC by Interlux. It is also available from West Marine. It does cover existing paints well. Yes all you will have to do is sand your existing paint to rough it up a bit. I have found that it is wise to brush off the dust after sanding to ensure a better bond.  Byron
