A couple of years ago, I purchased a Capri 22 with fin and had bottom paint applied while still at Lake Grapevine, TX. The shop applied Interlux micron 33 due to trailering her back to south carolina. She sat in salt water for 45 days and the bottom was deteriating. Since then she has enjoyed Lake KEOWEE water on her bottom.
My plan is 50-50...1/2 time fresh water and 1/2 in salt. Trailering will still be involved spring and fall.
What bottom paint is best under these circumstances and do I need to remove the old paint first?
