Don't sand blast!
Mike,Accoding to Don Casey's book "This Old Boat" - ...."fiberglass hulls should NEVER be sandblasted. Sandblasting destroys the integrity of the gelcoat, making it pourous and almost certianly leading to hull blisters." He says that the safest way to prepare a hull is to scrape it with a hook scraper. See his book for all the details. I used his method and it worked well for me and was a lot cheaper and easier then sanding the hull.
