The Hunter 23.5 will go back in the water after Christmas. It has been sitting on it's trailer ever since we hauled it to MS to escape IVAN. It was power washed just before the escape run. Question(s) - can I apply the bottom paint (Micron C.SC) without another powerwash? No visable road dirt so I plan to just hose it off and hand brush any spots that might need attention. It already has a solid covering of paint so will two coats do the job? Boat stays in brackish water year round in the back yard and so far it's been over a year since Iv'e had wind in her sails. Can hardly wait!!

Bottom paint

i let my 23' Coronado sit for 9 months after a powerwash and painted it with CSC and it sat for a year in salt water and had a lot of slime but less than ten barnacles on it when I got back to FL. However, I lighty sanded he bottom with 80 grit, as Micron recommends, before painting. I stretched one gallon to get 2 coats. Next time I will send the extra few bucks to get the Micron with the anti slime additive. If what is presently on your boat is CSC, one additional coat of a different color would be sufficient, since that paint is supposed to be effective as long as it is on the boat.
